Sunday nights matches end in a draw !

Besiktas and Trabzonspor drew 1-1 in Istanbul in an entertaining match. Both sides had chances to take the lead early on but for some good goalkeeping by Alan McGregor and Onur Kivrak. It was the visitors who took the lead though. Manuel Fernandes tried to take a quick free kick for Besiktas but his pass went to a Trabzon player, Didier Zokora played the ball forward, then Yasin and Sapara played a nice one two before Sapara flicked the ball into the net past McGregor.

It took Besiktas until the 55th minute to equalise and what a goal it was to, Manuel Fernandes curled his free kick into the top corner from the tightest of angles. It could have been a cross but no doubt Fernandes will claim that he meant it, and who would argue against the brilliant Portuguese midfielder.

Both teams had chances to win the game, Hamit Altintop and Olcay Adin for Trabzon, with Hugo Almeida having two chances for Besiktas. The game ended 1-1 though which was a fair result.

In the nights other game, Akhisar were unlucky not to take all three points at home against Gaziantepspor as they drew 0-0. Bruno Mezenga had a couple of good chances as Akhisar pushed forward at every attempt. The game ended 0-0 with Gaziantep lucky to walk away with anything from the game.

In tonights game Istanbul BBS won 1-0 away at Kayserispor with Samuel Holman scoring the only goal of the game.
